1945 in Campbellsville, Kentucky. While the world was still in shock from the war's aftermath, Jonna Hiestand was born in a little Midwestern town. Nobody could have predicted that the quiet child with a voracious appetite for adventure would one day become a legend in the shadowy world of espionage—a woman who could change into anyone, a ghost that darted through the dark, an essential gear in the CIA's unseen machinery.

It wasn't an easy road for Jonna to become a master of disguise. Her first job after graduating from Wichita State University was in a Frankfurt, Germany bank. There, in the middle of the busy European city, was where fate got involved. The young lady was approached by the CIA in 1966 when they noticed a spark of potential in her. They offered her the opportunity to serve her country in a manner that most people could only imagine. With her mind as sharp as a tack and her heart full of travel, Jonna answered the lure of the world of espionage.
And thus began an incredible career spanning more than 25 years. Jonna exchanged her life of identities and excitement for the stuffy confines of a bank. She disappeared into many personas, turning into a chameleon that could fit in with any setting. Jonna conducted tours of service while developing her art of deceit, from the busy streets of Europe to the remote reaches of the Far East and the subcontinent rife with intrigue.
