"Echoes of the Past is a work of fiction in the mystery, psychological thriller, and suspense subgenres. It is best suited to mature adult readers and was penned by author team Angela Grey and Paige Peterson. In this riveting drama that will mess with your mind and keep you on the edge of your seat, we explore the dark world of serial killers, secret pasts, and family history. Leah and Jake have lost their mother, missing and presumed dead amidst a time when other victims are turning up dismembered in suitcases. But when Leah discovers a fearful secret that her mother had kept well hidden for twenty years, signs point to something very different from the typical serial killer on the loose.
Author duo Angela Grey and Paige Peterson really know how to craft a tense and very enjoyable thriller mystery that sparks new questions in every chapter but never fails to give us enough of the unwinding tapestry to keep us satisfied and hungry for more. I sped through this pacy novel and enjoyed its many twists immensely, and I felt there was credibility to the behavior of even the darkest and most questionable characters that kept everything realistic. The emotional turmoil for Leah and Jake was balanced between the split perspective narration, allowing us to get partial information from both sides of the discovery and ensuing mystery and piece together the startling revelations for ourselves. Overall, Echoes of the Past is a highly recommended read for fans of intense psychological mysteries and dark, suspenseful dramas with a murderous twist."—Reviewed by K.C. Finn for Readers' Favorite
