يبدأ الخطيب كتابه هذا بمقدمة يتناول فيها تدرج الإنسان في سنه، منذ ولادته إلى آخر مراحل سنه، ثم يتناول أسماء جملة خلق الإنسان، مثل الطلل، والشبح (44) ، والجسم، والجسمان، وهكذا، ثم فصل في أجزائه مبتدئا بالرأس.. إلى أن انتهى إلى القدم ... ، ثم يختم كتابه ب ((باب الحمل والولادة))
