THE JOURNEY OF A HEART is a collection of poems that follow the life of an American woman from the meeting of her future husband to her death at a ripe old age. Along the way the main character encounters many challenges and her heart is exposed to the reader as she deals with each one. There is romance, motherhood, doubt, fear, loss and anger all linked together in the travel through life.
There is also mystery. The poems are written in several different styles to set the mood or to tell the story. But not the whole story. Throughout the book there are hidden answers to seven questions listed in the back. If the reader can answer the questions from clues within the poem, he/she will discover things not obvious to the casual reader.
THE JOURNEY OF A HEART would make a good gift to any woman who anticipates or who has experienced marriage and family.
