"The Comedy of Errors" is one of Shakespeare's most beloved and oft-performed comedies. Based on a farce by the Roman playwright Plautus, the play is a classic story of mistaken identity involving two sets of twins who are separated at birth and then reunited as adults.
Antipholus of Syracuse (in company with his servant, Dromio) is searching for his lost father, who has ventured to the country of Ephesus to look for his missing son. While in Ephesus, both Antipholus and Dromio are mistaken for their twin brothers and their lives quickly spin out of control, all to delightful comic effect.
One of Shakespeare's earliest and most ridiculous comedic plays, "The Comedy of Errors" is presented here in its original and unabridged format.
