It's the summer of 1969 and Apollo 11 is about to lift off to the moon. Space and surfing fanatic Danny Sullivan (14 years old) from Florida is dismayed when Mom whisks the family away on vacation to Ireland. But Danny's disappointment is short-lived. The mountains in Kerry are high, the surfing is wild and there's a daredevil girl who lives across the fields ... Danny may not know it yet but the summer of '69 might prove to be the summer of a lifetime.
