Arthur, a rather lazy and plump young mouse, is astonished by the visit of his fairy godfather, who grants him one Christmas wish, so long as it is for something that will make someone else happy. Arthur decides that his mother would be happy if he could play "Spinning Song" and "Minuet in G" on the piano - and that he might be in store for some treats as well. His wish is granted, and Arthur enjoys his new-found success immensely, until his teacher coaxes him to play for the annual Christmas pageant and Arthur knows he can only play two songs. Will a second visit from his fairy godfather help? Children will chuckle as they watch Arthur struggle out of his difficult situation, learning a great deal about himself in the process.
