Spending a week tending to a child with Grant was certainly not how Claire planned to spend her Christmas vacation. But being thrown into an emergency situation brings into focus her own upbringing without a father and what life could truly be like for her and Grant. When she's offered a full-time placement as the Island school's nurse, she feels like their plans to move home and start their life together have really begun.
