To be truthful in thought, word, and deed, is certainly a tough challenge for every human being, but certainly a way of living that our world needs urgently.

All followers of Jesus Christ must consider that if we are not truthful in our thinking, feeling, speaking, and acting as a whole, we can lose the kingdom of God. Because right now the only thing our humanity has gained is a material world in turmoil and darkness in which voluntary evil acts abound.

We can deceive ourselves as much as we want pretending that with our thoughts, words, and deeds we are being truthful. Still, we cannot deceive our Father in heaven who knows our thoughts, words and deeds and that are for Him along with our behaviour and our interactions in this world, the evidence of our faith or mistrust of His son Jesus Christ and His teachings.

To be truly righteous we must obey God's will; otherwise, our thoughts and words will lead to selfish outward deeds. And yes, when we sin, we sin in thoughts, words, and deeds, as Saint Thomas Aquinas affirmed.

Jesus embodies the integration of words and works: His word goes hand in hand with His work. On this earth, only Jesus has manifested a perfect unity of thought, word, and deed, and He invited us to imitate Him as He was Himself imitating His Father in heaven.

Only in this way, harmony and wisdom can return to our suffering world.
