Gabriel, a Brazilian-American, has always known he was gay. Because of his father's disapproval as a young kid, he's been forced to hide the biggest part of himself for years.

Billy is your typical lumberjack who was raised to be as manly as possible by his carpenter father. He grew up believing the only road there was to take was getting a wife and a couple of kids but yet it never felt quite right to him.

Gabriel meets Billy when Billy is hanging on a thread from the rooftop of his house after Billy's ladder fell over and Gabriel ends up helping Billy. There is an instant connection between the two.
