Book 12 takes the adventure to the northern tip of Ring Peninsula. On their journey, the children discover some of the varied animals and landscapes that are native to China and Japan. They also see the Himalayan mountains that stretches from China on one side and India, Nepal and Pakistan on the other. Now the children receive some clues that are hard to figure out about a deadly creature. Not only does this creature exists today but it is frightfully large in real life. What's more, this particular creature on Left-Hand Island possesses unusual qualities to enhance its powers. The children will need some extraordinary help to get out of this mess in one piece.
