Laura McCrowley had already endured more than any young girl should. Her father had left to join the war and was killed. Not long after, her mother, addicted to alcohol and drugs, died when the Bluecoats came to take over the town. Young Laura was thrown into the saloon as a lady in waiting and taking abuse from cruel and heartless men. Until the day Tommy Hendershaw came to town.

Laura thought Tommy was the answer to her prayers, that he would somehow get her out of the life she was being forced to lead. She had no idea just how far Tommy would take her, or how her life would change from a young saloon girl to a wanted train robber.
