A man walked up to Jed. He looked up, sure that it was an Apache with a tomahawk for his scalp. He was wrong. He looked up and saw his father, James Gore. Gore saw his son knocked to the ground, and he helped him up.
"Pa, that Samson Stone character... he's ain't a man. He's a monster. He hits like a locomotive."
Gore nodded grimly. "I know son. And I've got to take him on. By myself."
Jed couldn't believe the words that came out of his father's mouth.
"What are you talking about, Pa? You're not going to survive one minute with a monster like that!
