After his unexpectedly long stay in Ancient Gold Province, Acer bids farewell to the ancient mystics and his beloved companion Sayr, returning to his search for the origins of the Yosogi School. Across the sea, he reaches his destination: the island nation of Fusang, or "Fusou" as its people call it. He finds many things in Fusou that remind him of his time with Kaeha, as well as his own previous life, but he also faces the state of perpetual war the nation is locked in against the oni. However, that turmoil has laid the foundation for a kingdom built on the rare unity of three different races. While Acer's search continues, the mystery behind this unified society is too intriguing for him to ignore.
