Nini and Lolo are two Melanesian children who live on one of the most beautiful islands in the South Pacific. This small island where Nature dreams and time drifts slowly, is often known as Paradise Island. It's part of the French territory of New Caledonia.
Sister and brother, Nini and Lolo speak French as well as another unwritten language, Kunie, belonging just to their island.
Nini is six. Her real name is Charline.
Lolo is eight. His real name is Charly.
Like the other seven hundred children on the island, they live close to nature and the turquoise sea, surrounded by a huge, extended family of parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins.
Little by little, you'll meet them. Little by little too, through these tales and rhymes, you'll discover New Caledonia is close to Australia and New Zealand, yet Paradise Island is a whole world away.
