This is the Arabic version of "Memoirs of a Libyan ambassador's wife".

"I never intended to write my memoirs or chronicle the events of my life, let alone make them public," Latifa explains. I am simply a diplomat's wife, and God has chosen to take me across five continents on the train of life. Then, on these pages, I'll talk about what occurred to me or what I saw. There are amusing, sad, fascinating, informative, and informative facts for the reader to judge.

I travelled to five different continents. I travelled from Tripoli to London, then to the United States, from Geneva and Bern to Italy and Paris, then to the former Soviet Union, and finally to the African rainforests of Zimbabwe, the Kalahari Desert of Botswana, and the Kingdom of Axum in Ethiopia. I flew across the oceans to Australia and the gorgeous cities of Southeast Asia, including Malaysia and Singapore. I travelled to the majority of Arab and European countries. We had tea in the White House in Washington, D.C., and visited with Presidents Ford and Carter, as well as their wives, Betty Ford and Rosalynn Carter (after Jimmy Carter became President). During the Soviet Union, we also had drinks in the Moscow Kremlin. President Quett Masire (Botswana's Head of State) and his wife paid us a visit at our residence in Gaberone (my husband was the South African Ambassador to Botswana). We also dined at the Governor-General's (Personal Representative of Queen Elizabeth) table in Canberra, Australia.
Latifa has served on the boards of directors of various women's charitable and social organisations around the world, and she chaired the International Women's Club in Addis Abeba, Ethiopia (the country's largest charity).
