FRACTURED TALES is a collection of short stories of people who have been let down by the ones they trusted. Some traumatic and some naïve, this collection is put together with prompts from college assignments. The genres range from young adult to fantasy and mystery.

The collection begin with, "The Date," where Lizzy plans to meet a group of friends at the movies. The so-called group turns into a two-person date that left Lizzy questioning the people she keeps in her circle.

In "The Manila Envelope," we follow the husband as he struggles with his reluctance to inform his wife of some devastating news.

In "The Phone Call," young Ruby is a child, excited to spend the day with her father. Step by step she makes herself presentable, while her baby sister follows her around joyously. Then, she gets a phone call.

In the final story, "The Golden Cattail," we are introduced to Odette. Befriending a river fairy, she collects golden treasures. After her trinkets are discovered by her greedy father, Odette must answer to the king.
