While travelling in India, novelist John Waring gave a lift to a strange-dressed, all-knowing native who called himself Jassy. And it was no accident that on his return to England he found himself drawn to an old farmhouse on Bodmin Moor where, together the Maclain family, he witnessed eerie, inexplicable events which defied comprehension.
