In 2022, Sarah Nurse became the first Canadian biracial athlete to win an Olympic gold medal in women's hockey. Raised in a family of athletes, Sarah Nurse began her hockey career at a young age. After playing on youth and school teams, Nurse played for the University of Wisconsin and joined Team Canada at the 2022 Olympic Games. But it wasn't always easy.
