Generation Z is a term that is used to describe the generation of people who were born between the years 1997 and 2012. As of October of 2023, the people of Generation Z primarily consist of young adults and teenagers. The people of Generation Z were born amid the digital era. Generation Z is the first-generation to grow up with social media platforms, video hosting platforms, live streaming platforms, crowd funding platforms, smart phones, smart phone applications, and high speed broadband internet connections. Generation Z has also grown up in an era in which robots, artificial intelligence, and algorithms have become all the more prevalent around the world. Generation Z has also grown up in an era in which they can indulgently bask in the remote shopping experience which is replete with conveniences, such as being able to shop for products without having to wait in line to enter the checkout stage, without having to travel to a distant store, and without having to shop for products amid standard business hours. Generation Z has also grown up in an era in which they can access movie streaming services and video game streaming services at anytime remotely with ease. Generation Z has also grown up in an era in which they can work remotely, pursue university degree programs remotely, and even shop remotely inside the in-game stores of videos games. Generation Z has also grown up in an era in which they can access social media platforms remotely and access the internet remotely via smartphones without even needing to be metaphorically tethered to their computers to do so. Since their childhoods are a stark far cry from the childhood experiences of people from past generations, Generation Z cannot even infinitesimally relate to the childhood experiences that people from past generations succumbed to experiencing. Generation Z grew up with everything that the previous generation, the Millennial generation, would have ineffably loved to have access to at a young age. Generation Z grew up with ample luxuries and technologies that significantly enriched the ease of living their lives. Generation Z is also the first-generation to grow up with an almost endless amount of entertainment at their finger tips since the social media platforms that have emerged in the digital era are always expanding their user-generated content bases for viewers to consume. If a person from Generation Z were to consume sixteen hours of user-generated on social media platforms everyday for the entirety of his life, he would for instance not even able to consume even .0000000001% of all of the user-generated content on social media platforms. As of October of 2023, new content is being uploaded to social media platforms to the extent to which over 300,00,000 photos being uploaded onto social media platforms on a daily basis and over 720,000 hours of video content is being uploaded onto social media platforms on a daily basis. Generation Z is the first-generation to grow up without succumbing to boredom anytime in their lives whenever they had access to their smart phones that allowed them to be able to access social media platforms. During their nascent years, social media platforms were not as overly saturated with content as they are in 2023 and had far less content to offer viewers than they have to offer in 2023.
