This diachronic overview of the Maritime Safety Law is aimed at all readers and researchers interested in the maritime-port sector, whether they are law specialists or not. The book begins with a summary of the leading institutes of maritime law (including the regime of the Ship), moves on to the main international instruments of maritime safety and ends with the climate change challenges facing the sector. The international community is engaged in the fight against climate change.
