Elsie Hardin, a Court Appointed Advocate travels to Lander, Wyoming in hopes of finding a suitable arrangement for a young boy. Jax, a nine-year-old who wants nothing more than to visit a cattle ranch. Elsie arrives in Lander just in time for her whole world to turn upside down. She nearly creams an elk, her car is stolen and someone from her past shows his true colors. How will Elsie ever get herself out of this mess, which Wind River fella takes charge and helps her out?
