Runika Jones has friends and a future, but she is still no closer to discovering what happened to her parents.

When Headmaster Luniorn sends Runika and her friends to Everrime, the city of eternal winter, he tells them it is to learn how to cast ice runes. But it could also give Runika a chance to find some answers of her own.

Not everything is as it seems in Everrime, as the class receives a frosty reception from the duchess and her hot-blooded daughter. Meanwhile, a mysterious vigilante named Marli prowls the city, hunting palace guards and gangs alike.
