A fumbling, bumbling, and stumbling wizard and his not so heroic, but sometimes brave, companion Steve have fallen into the slimy grasp of a malevolent witch, Getrude.....

Gertrude is chummy with Bethelda, the gnarled and crooked lady of the woods with a special propensity for casting cruel spells, and an even more suspiciously obscure figure, The Shadow. Ever present, The Shadow melts the brightest days into liquid misery and has a plan which nobody, not even his closest villainous cronies are privy to.

Grumbles, Steve, and the gang weave through trials and trepidations and acquire, or attempt to acquire, the succor of two surprising people in the hope of defending against the evil that the Shadow and his brutish sidekicks are want to bring to the doorstep of Minecraftian folk everywhere. Meanwhile Grumble's and Steve's parents tinker with interuniversal travel and ponderously take steps towards exploring Minecraftian mythos and ultimately saving their children from the blocky mayhem that they have found themselves wrapped up in.....
