Seven-year-old Andrea, a kind-hearted and adventurous girl, lives with her loving parents. One rainy afternoon, as she made her way to the sweet shop after taking money from her mother, she stumbles upon a shivering black cat, drenched from the downpour. Without a second thought, Andrea takes the cat under her care, offering it shelter, a warm bath, and a hearty meal.
However, a challenge arises when Andrea's parents express their reservations about keeping the black cat. They believe in an old superstition that black cats bring bad luck. Despite her parents' concerns, Andrea is determined to stand by her new feline friend, whom she names "Lucky."
