The away cruiser is sent careening through the sky of an alien planet and the Sapphire's Fyre gunner team is stranded with no means of communication. Their only hope is to walk toward the distress signal that brought them there and hope they'll be able to use it to let their shipmates know they're still alive.

Tension has long disrupted the well-oiled gunner machine that is Göl, Drake, and Tierra. This crash seems to have been the trio's breaking point.

Göl and Drake each know the other has fallen head over heels for their commanding officer. Tierra has secretly harbored feelings for them both. She always felt starting anything with either of them would be improper. Now their precarious position on the edge of survival is causing her to rethink her previous misgivings.
