A lovely story full of charm.
One relaxed Sunday afternoon Rolf and his trustee dog 'Button' stumble upon an opening into a rustic underground world. This story is a first-person narrative of adventures with the Spratman family that Rolf meets there. They offer him an insight into how this special community all work together. Their
country life is taken up with excursions, picnics, and bridge building all of which Rolf throws himself into.
Even though Rolf is giant like to them he easily makes friends and they take him on travels to see other parts of their underground world.
