I have been writing poetry since the early sixties, and when I published my first book in 2008, it was like a dream come true. At seventy-four years of age, I felt that at last I had achieved something in my life, even though the real reason that I had done it in the first place was quite simple. I just wanted a professionally printed book to give to my children and grandchildren; AuthorHouse did that for me. Now at almost seventy-eight, I am venturing out into the public once more with my Yorkshire-based poetry, which hopefully will reach a wider audience this time around.
