FATE WAS NOT KIND TO SABAN GRABO AND HIS THREE-MONTHS-PREGNANT WIFE ELISAVETA . . . OR WAS IT?

TRAIN Z is a World War II historical fiction novel that follows a young Romani (Gypsy) couple who travel from Sarajevo to a family funeral in German-occupied Brussels in December 1943 and are arrested. In their efforts to escape and keep a step ahead of the Nazis, they fall in with members of the Belgian Resistance and find themselves involved in harrowing and dangerous operations in support of the Allied Forces. Saban and Elisaveta are determined to return home to Sarajevo, but will they die trying?
