A Buddhist monk has just meditated himself into an explosion of pure white light. This is the first of such event captured on camera, and the world's press go mad at the authenticated video, filmed by the monks themselves.

An international complement of reporters is sent to Tibet to uncover the story, and Tara is the beautiful blonde sent by America's largest tabloid. She, along with one hundred other reporters, congregate at the foot of the 10,000 steps that lead to the most secret and sacred of Buddhist temples . . . but they are held at bay by one man.

Hoyt Lee, a seemingly invincible half Thai, half Englishman, who has just received his enlightenment, guards the steps by order of his Buddhist master. He believes that he has spoken to God and now knows that the end of the world is upon us. Our planet has reacted to its mismanagement by releasing a primordial weapon capable of destroying every living species on earth.

Tara and Hoyt are willingly thrust into a desperate race that will decide the outcome of our species and the planet. But it is Mother Earth that they fight in a thrilling chess match between God and earth that will inevitably relent to one person alone.

Thus begins a tale packed with animal sex, phenomenon, torturous love, the hunt, miracles, insight, disaster, anguish, and humour. A tale that has never been told with an angle never been explored, culminating in a finale that was never expected.
