A recurring nightmare awakens eighteen year-old John Moore in a panic. For nearly a year the same terrifying dreams have haunted the young pirate: demon-faced thieves murdering a sleeping crew and a devastating fire aboard a small brigantine. When John recognizes a small token from his dreams in a drawer aboard his father's ship, he begins to realize that these nightmares may have dangerous ties with reality. After a foolish mistake rips John away from his old life, he discovers that his destiny lies in the secrets of an old shipwreck.
