Joe Burrow is an American football quarterback for the Cincinnati Bengals of the National Football League (NFL). He played college football at LSU, where he was a Heisman Trophy winner and national champion. Burrow was born in Athens, Ohio, in 1996. He attended Athens High School, where he was a three-star recruit. He committed to play college football at Ohio State University, but after one season, he transferred to LSU. At LSU, Burrow started his senior season as the backup quarterback, but he took over the starting job after the third game. He led the Tigers to a 15-0 record and a victory in the 2019 College Football Playoff National Championship. He was also awarded the Heisman Trophy as the best college football player in the country.
