DIFFICULTY IS A GOOD ANGEL
Have you missed in your aim? Well, the mark is still shinning.
Did you faint in the race? Well, take breath for the next.
Willox
Difficulties arise in ignorance and weakness, and they call for the attainment of knowledge and the acquisition of strength. When the right understanding is acquired difficulties fades away. As understanding is acquired by right liking, difficulties become fewer and perish completely with time.
Your difficulty is not contained, primarily, in the situation which gave ..... to it, but in mental state with which you regard that situation and which you bring to bear upon it. know that whatever is difficult to a child present no difficulty to the matured mind of the man; and that which to the mind of an unintelligent man is surrounded with perplexity would afford no ground for perplexity to an intelligent man.
To the undeveloped and untutored mind of the child how great, and apparently unconquerable, appear the difficulties which are involved in the learning of some simple lesson. Now many anxious and laborious hours and days, or even months, it's solution cost; and frequently, how many tears are shed in hopeless contemplation of the unmastered, and apparently, unconquerable, wall of difficulty! Yet the difficulty is in the ignorance of the child only, and its conquest and solution is completely important for the development of intelligence and for the ultimate welfare, happiness and usefulness of the child.
So it is with the real issues of life with which older children are confronted, and which it is imperative, for their own growth and development, that they should solve and overcome; and each difficulty .... means so much more experience gained, so much more knowledge and wisdom acquired; it means a valuable lesson learned, with the added gladness and freedom of a task successfully achieved.
The Real Nature of Difficulty
Is it not a situation that is not truly understood in all its facts? As such it calls for the development and exercise of a deeper knowledge, insight and broader intelligence than has previously been exercised. It is an urgent necessity calling forth the unused energy, and demanding the expression and employment of latent power and hidden resources. It is therefore, a good angel, blessing in disguise, a friend, a teacher, and when obediently and calmly listened to and rightly understood will lead to higher wisdom and larger blessedness.
Without difficulties there could be no next level, no progress, no promotion, no unfoldment and no evolution. If there is no difficulties universal stagnation would dominate and humanity would perish of ennui.
Let a man rejoice when he is confronted with challenges, for it means that he has come to the end of some particular line of indifference or folly, and is now called upon to put all his energy and intelligence to work in order to extricate himself, and to find a better way; that there powers within him are crying out for greater freedom, for enlarged exercise and scope.
No situation can be difficult of itself, it is the lack of understanding into its intricacies and the want of wisdom in dealing with it, which give rise to the difficulty.
What to do when confronted with difficulty
The intention of difficulty towards you is not to destroy you but to make you a better person; so be glad when you are faced with challenges because there are no mistakes in divine order of things. Difficulty us a sign of promotion and next level of life. You cannot overcome difficulty by sitting down and...
