A lovers' quarrel, an angry wife, Christmas dinner under threat.

The Christmas in July Sundowner is a most highly anticipated event at the Parke Bowls and Croquet Clubs. As the sun sets over the lush green lawns, Hettie can't help but feel a sense of excitement in the air. But when she's unexpectedly lumbered with the troublesome Aurora, she fears her evening is about to take a turn for the worse. It doesn't take long before she's served up a plateful of problems instead of plum pudding.

As Hettie scrambles to make sense of what is going on, the evening degenerates into accusations and dark looks between the members of the Croquet and Bowls clubs. Can she call up a Christmas miracle before croquet mallets and bowls collide creating a rift that may never be repaired?
