Walking is very good for you and everyone else. Regular physical activity has proven to help in the management of non-communicable diseases (NCDs), such as heart disease, stroke, diabetes and some cancers. It also helps prevent high blood pressure, maintain a healthy body weight and can also improve mental health. In addition, quality of life and general wellbeing.
My objective in writing this book is to offer a reference and guide to all who have recognised the importance of keeping fit and active. As a fitness coach, I can tell you that even though I am a senior, I look and feel really healthy and younger, due to my daily walking routine over the past years.
There are several reasons why I chose to write on walking, in particular because it's not intensive. It's also easy to pick up and costs you little or nothing, beyond your regular walking gear, a good pair of canvass, in particular each time you're out walking.
In the five chapters of my book, you will get to know about the various aspects of walking, including the additional health benefits outside physical fitness. You will also read about the right gear and other things relating to walking.
I hope you will put into practice, the various tips contained in this book, such that you will henceforth become more committed towards a better health. Happy reading!
