What I thought was a great real estate investment nearly got me killed, several times. In the midst of the mayhem, on a short road trip in my motor home, I tangled with a semi-truck while being stalked by a crazy woman.

Nettie Small wanted a quiet retreat and perhaps a renovation project. She found her project on a river in western Maine. When the foreclosing banker told her he, nor anyone else in the town, would go near the property, she should have listened. Not being a person who put any stock in local folk lore, she quickly discovered she was in a battle for her life. Already, two folks were missing, with no effort to find them. In addition, anybody who went to the property would never go back. Nettie began a one-woman crusade to assist a complete stranger, only to find he was only one of many victims. Nettie soon became a target for a mentally deranged and dangerous woman.

To complicate life further, during a quick trip to Virginia with the motor home, Nettie has a terrifying accident with a semi-truck that results in serious injuries, limiting her abilities to defend herself. She realizes she is a sitting duck, albeit a badly injured one.
