Conrad Black's autobiography has been described as "a Taj Mahal to one man's ego." This film explores the man, not the myth as it follows controversial media baron, Conrad Black during one of the most tumultuous periods of his life. Filmed after Black's fall from grace, before his trial for fraud, the encounters with him are both poignant and humorous as the filmmaker slowly reveals a side of Conrad Black rarely seen in public.

Documenting his career from his arrival on the global publishing scene with his takeover of the Daily Telegraph in 1985, the film examines Black's globetrotting newspaper deals and the controversy and resistance he encounters along the way. This is an eye-opening and entertaining portrait of a man who is emblematic of our times - a corporate charlatan.
