Richard the Lionheart, King of England, had left England to join the Crusades. While he was gone, he left his brother John of Gaunt to rule England. A brave knight called Richard Atlea decided to find the King to tell him about John who was cruel and greedy. However, Richard did not have enough money for the trip. He decided to ask if he could borrow the money from someone who he thought was his friend, a rich man called Hugo de Reinauld.
