The relationship between them has once closely linked to a development trend in China and seen twists and turns, as well as disputes hard to explain. However, despite of political differences, most disputes were caused by the complicated relations in the Chiang family. The father and son finally joined hands after separations and reunions and escaped from near-death experience, working with one heart to build their tower of strength. The son became so "obedient" while the father so "gracious" when their feud vanished that they made concerted efforts as rare perfect partners. This strong family combination racked their brains in scheming, power game playing and fighting with nature and people, but still failed to hold back the overwhelming wheel of history or save their regime in mainland China. In Taiwan, Chiang and his son picked up themselves and replaced their past feud with two vital issues of power strengthening and leadership succession.
