It's an essay written by Osamu Dazai. It protests the assessment by Kawabata Yasunari at the selection of the Akutagawa Prize. Dazai gets angry that the reason he failed the Prize is because of problem of his life, and send a letter of protest. But, it is said that to which he protests is not Kawabata but a power that makes Kawabata criticize Dazai.
