Andreas Gabriel Klein became involved in the armed struggle not only in India but also in Germany, was eventually arrested and spent several years in German prisons after committing non-politically motivated assaults.

After his release from prison, Klein returns to India only to realise that his native people are now no different from the hated black Indians. The embittered man embarks on a private campaign of revenge in which his ultimate aim is to 'eliminate' as many of the hated Indians as possible.

Only the accidental death of a Japanese child, for which Klein is responsible, brings him round and he faces up to the authorities.....
