Jennifer Roberts lost both her parents in a car accident when she was 12 years old. Because she was still a minor, it was decided that Jennifer was going to move from Boston to New York City to live with her father's older sister and husband. When Jennifer graduated from the 12th grade, she decided to take a semester off before going to college. Jennifer planned on driving cross-country with her best friend, but her aunt thought it would be more beneficial and an excellent opportunity for growth if she spent her semester off in England. Semester Off Abroad is a fictional story about Jennifer learning about and experiencing a new and different culture and the people she meets along the way.
