National Poetry Month
Launched by the Academy of American Poets in April 1996, National Poetry Month is dedicated to celebrating poets' integral role in our culture. If your students see poetry as a bit of a drag, maybe it's that they haven't found the right verse yet - and it just might be in one of the books below!
