OverDrive--leading digital media services
OverDrive Download Station

OverDrive Download Station is software that enables a public Internet station to also serve as a digital media download kiosk. Make it easy for patrons to download bestselling audiobooks and music to their MP3 players when they visit the library!

In-Library Download Service

OverDrive Download Station Software enables public Internet PCs to become self-service download stations for audiobooks and music in the library. This Windows-based application lets patrons download DRM-protected OverDrive media directly to a supported MP3/WMA player.

Features & Benefits

  • Easy-to-use wizard guides patrons step by step
  • Instantly tests for device compatibility
  • Self-service for patrons; limited staff involvement
  • Patrons take advantage of the library's bandwidth for faster downloads
  • Promotes your digital service in the library
  • Provides access to audio downloads for patrons who don't have broadband service
  • Supports download of parts or portions of long audiobook titles

Convenient for Patrons

Patrons can bring a compatible MP3/WMA player to the library, locate a public Internet PC with OverDrive Download Station Software installed, and download titles from your digital collection.

Downloading is quick and easy! The OverDrive Download Station Software prompts the user to connect the player to the Library PC. Once connected, the software tests the player for compatibility and available storage.
